I just tried it -- and had fun earning 1140 grains of rice. Of course, since I'm still in the dark ages of dial-up, and have 'Show pictures' perpetually off, the advertisers didn't get the eyeball time they paid for.
Now here's an exercise that will build up your mathematical ability: How many grains of rice can be earned in an hour? How many grains of rice in an ounce? How many ounces of rice would you 'earn' in an hour? How much does rice cost per ounce? How much do you 'earn' in $ per hour? Now compare this to an alternate project, requiring physical exercise rather than mental exercise: collecting pop cans alongside the highway and donating the 5¢ redemption value. Presuming that benefit of physical and mental exercise are equivalent, how many pop cans would you have to collect per hour for this to be equivalent to the vocabulary scheme?

I also sent the link to our church's Fresh Start Microloans, a group intent on cutting $200.00 American or less over two years to start up businesses in the developing world.
